James and Janelle came to Stockton to attend Christian Life College from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. They both graduated from Christian Life College with their degrees in Music Ministry. They have been the Music Ministers at Lighthouse of the Valley since 1999. Together, they oversee all segments of the music department and believe in the power of unity and teamwork.
The Williams have a unique ability to minister in various musical styles as well as bridge the styles of modern praise and worship while keeping the old hymns alive. James and Janelle are very passionate and dedicated to making a continuous effort in refining their skills as leaders in Praise and Worship. They endeavor to prayerfully create an atmosphere where people can feel the nearness of God in each service.
James plays the bass professionally and has used his talent and acquired knowledge to become a bass instructor at Christian Life College. He has taught and mentored many musicians who now lead and play at their local churches.
James and Janelle are proud parents of three very active boys. For hobbies, James enjoys cooking his specialty Jamaican dishes and has ventured to various other cultures for culinary inspiration. His love of cooking has opened doors for him to cater many church, business and political events. Janelle enjoys using her talented crafting abilities to decorate and create exciting new projects for her home and the church. James and Janelle’s heartfelt prayer is to remain focused on ministering through music that leads people to the heart of God.
