FEBRUARY 2025
In January, outside of ministering in our local church services each week, we were able to support the ministry of IPUB (Igreja Pentecostal Unida do Brasil) churches in three other states: Minas Gerais, Goiás, and Rio de Janeiro.
We spent the first few days of our new year visiting and ministering in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. We were able to spend great time planning for future ministry events together with church leaders. It was such a blessing to learn from local pastors about the history of the work in their state and how we might use some of their successful strategies with our work in Brasilia. Most elders in the ministry throughout Brazil, at some point, attended the Apostolic Bible Institute (Instituto Biblico Apostólico) in Rio de Janeiro. It is commonly referred to as IBA. We were privileged to travel to Rio and stay with Missionary Ivana Norris at IBA. It is a beautiful spacious campus with great facilities. During this time, we ministered in two churches and learned more about the rich history and impact of the Bible Institute on the work of God throughout Brazil. We had an awesome time with sister Norris ministering at her church and with Pastor Hugo and his family ministering at their church. We shared powerful moments in worship, prayer, and ministry of the Word of God with our brothers and sisters in Christ!
For many years now, Bible school training for ministry workers and leaders in Brazil, has expanded outside of one Bible School location model to each district hosting IBA seminars on weekends and week nights for students throughout the year. My wife and I were invited to be the main speakers for the start of IBA 2025 semester term in the Goiás District. It was a two-day seminar with delicious meals provided for students and teachers. The theme was, The Gathering of Servants (Encontro de Servos). I love that theme! We ministered five messages in two days. The goal was to encourage students and teachers in their desire to fulfill the call of God in their lives. It was such a blessing to see the hunger and dedication in the hearts of the students and teachers. During our time together, the District Superintendent, broke down in tears and explained how God spoke to him during our message and told him to expand his current church by purchasing the land next door!
Regionally, we continue to be actively involved in the leadership of our IPUB Brasilia Federal District. We were able to attend our IPUB Brasilia ministers planning meeting. The theme for the year is growth. The superintendent talked about advancing the Kingdom. At this meeting, each section in the district presented what ministry events and plans they have for the year. We were able to present our growth plan and encourage the other churches in the district as we spoke at the meeting. Our church plans to expand with another preaching point in Asa Norte to grow our outreach in the city of Brasilia. We found a location and the paper work is in process for the additional location. We will have an additional midweek Bible Study, midweek evangelistic service, and another English program at the new preaching point! It’s loads of work, but we believe that God will get the glory and souls will be saved. God is on a move and we are moving with Him!
Thank you for your love, support, faith, and prayers! Only what we do for Christ will last! May God bless all of our ministries! If you have any questions about ways to give and strengthen our ministry in Brazil, please contact us at the email below or call us.
Sincerely,
The Gayles
